Frost & Sullivan’s Industry Think Tanks are a forum for senior decision makers involved in strategy and technology planning, managing innovation and steering the strategic direction for their organisation.
In a Think Tank the commercial implications and opportunities offered by global social, economic and technological trends are reviewed. Their impact on a business sector or a trend are discussed and used as the basis for scenario planning.
As a result, participants will be better able to identify new opportunities and risks, and improve the accuracy of their forward planning.
A Think Tank consists of three elements:
1. Pre-reading and a diagnostic
Background reading on the topic. A survey which allows the participants to input their priorities to address in the workshop session
2. A One day workshop
Participants receive presentations on selected Mega Trends and Frost & Sullivan’s point of view on future trends related to the topic being discussed. These form the basis of facilitated interactive discussions in which the participants identify potential future scenarios and the potential impact on their own sectors and organisations.
3. Ongoing access to Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Innovation & Leadership (GIL)
Detect disruptive technologies and formulate a response
Develop sales & marketing strategies
Evaluate the competition
Community
Participants can stay involved through interactive media such as blogs, communities of practice and outputs from each event feed into our annual GIL Congresses. Think Tanks usually address issues outside a normal industry or sector focus and draw participants from a wide spectrum of interested parties.
